AWAD: It's an odd one
A co-worker had emergency surgery yesterday to remove his appendix. The question arose as to what may have caused the vestigial organ to become infected. After Googling a few med web sites, the main culprit was determined to be a fecalith, literally a rock of feces. You learn something new everyday.Main Entry: fe·ca·lith
Variant: or chiefly British fae·ca·lith /'fE-k&-"lith/
Function: noun
: a concretion of dry compact feces formed in the intestine or vermiform appendix

Holy crap! :) I had no idea that such a thing could happen.
Holy crap, indeed!
I had to admit my mind went totally elsewhere. You know - like a cartoon where there's all these craggy caves and dino beasts running around. But instead of stalagtites and monoliths, there's fecaliths.
The natives know the fury of the fecaliths. Occasionally, they explode raining down hard black death on the inhabitants with every infectious touch.
I know. I'm not right in the head.
