An Unlived Life
I started watching a "Without a Trace" marathon after physical therapy this afternoon. I was so moved by a quote the kidnapped character had framed in her home that I felt compelled to google it post haste! It is from a book by Dawna Markova entitled, "I Will Not Die An Unlived Life."I will not die an unlived life
I will not live in fear
of falling or catching fire
I choose to inhabit my days,
to allow my living to open me,
to make me less afraid,
more accessible
to loosen my heart
until it becomes a wing
a torch, a promise
I choose to risk significance
to live so that which came to me as a seed
goes on to the next as a blossom,
and that which came to me as blossom
goes as fruit.
And who says you can't learn anything from television?
