Lost In Translation?

I was reviewing the guide for my German-made electric toothbrush the other day and came across two noteworthy entries in the "Warnings" section:

+ Use this product only for its intended use as described in this manual. Do not use attachments not recommended by the manufacturer.

+ Never drop or insert any object into any opening.

Whatever could they mean?
