Take A Meeting

For those of us in the large, impersonal corporate world (whether for-profit, nonprofit, or governmental), meetings have become the bane of our existence. Especially those useless drone-on-forever-with-no-clear-agenda meetings which seem to land on our calendars like so many flies.

Well, kiddies, it's time to have some fun with these time-sucks. Some rather clever people have come up with a new office game called "Bullshit Bingo"

One of my irreverent IA acquaintances in the Netherlands included this link in his response to a comment on one of the industry discussion lists. Bless you, Peter B.

Next time you're destined to be stuck in another one of those 4-hour meetings about nothing, print up a few bingo cards for the other department dissidents and watch the fun ensue.

Update: iFilm has a mock commercial promoting this game. Warning - there is a brief ad prior to the start of this clip, located at http://www.ifilm.com

BINGO!

Dark Thoughts a la Haiku

Monday Faces

Down-turned mouths, frowns, glares.
These faces reveal despair
At Monday's coming.

Judgemental Day

How could she wear that?
Too short, tight, revealing all!
Me? Judgemental? Yup.

Oh, The Humanity

Shirtless man, begging;
Shaking coins in Starbucks cup.
Look past him. Move on.

Theory of Negativity

Fear + Frustration
= Negativity.
Today's choking pall.
