Around Town
What a beautiful day in Chicagolandia.First I swing by J's place so we could head over to the Bucktown Arts Fest. Turns out J's boyfriend has a musician friend visiting from Switzerland - a very tall drink of water named Mark. Short hair. Black glasses and wonderfully accented Swiss-German English. So, a little flirting with the musician and we're off.
A few hours, one hundred seventy artists, flamenco dancers, poetry readings and pad thai with tofu later, we decide to wind down at a laid back Ukrainian Village spot to sip coffee and watch the drunks and the gentrifiers rub shoulders. But not before stopping by the coolest toy store I've seen in some time, Rotofugi. We fondle the funky, mostly Japanese-inspired vinyl, plastic, or plush toys and I walk out with some phat Frank Kozik gear: the Smorkin' Labbit Silver Pimp 5 Pack! Can't wait to display these bad boys in the office. Hee!
