I'm An Artist At Heart

Seems they were pretty much dead on, especially with the fear of failure thing. A former musician / artist boyfriend of mine wrote and recorded a song I sang. The collection was entitled, "Fear of Success". Downright uncanny.

The Daily Doggerel

What did I spy on the streets, perchance?
A fast-rolling cart. A man losing his pants!

He ran half the block, the cart getting away
At first I thought someone engaged in foul play

The little wheels rolled and then turned to the right
Serendipitously slowed as the cart neared the light.

Then I saw the man laugh as he shook off his hood,
Caught up with the cart, rearranged the food.

He huffed and he puffed, then bent double from glee.
I saw what I saw, but the joke was on me!
